Teas you can make at home to fight a cold

1. Ginger-Lemon-Honey Tea 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (sliced or
grated) Juice of 1 lemon 1 tablespoon honey (optional) 2 cups water
Instructions: Boil the ginger in water for 5-10 minutes. Strain, add lemon juice
and honey, and drink warm.
2. Turmeric-Ginger Tea 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
(sliced) 1 teaspoon turmeric powder or 1-inch fresh turmeric root (sliced) Pinch
of black pepper 2 cups water Honey or lemon (optional) Instructions: Simmer
ginger and turmeric in water for 10 minutes. Strain, add black pepper and
sweeteners, and sip warm.
3. Peppermint Tea 1 tablespoon fresh or dried
peppermint leaves 2 cups boiling water Honey (optional) Instructions: Steep
peppermint leaves in boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Strain and sweeten as
desired.
4. Chamomile-Echinacea Tea 1 tablespoon dried chamomile flowers 1
tablespoon dried echinacea flowers or leaves 2 cups boiling water Honey or lemon
(optional) Instructions: Steep chamomile and echinacea in boiling water for 10
minutes. Strain and enjoy.
5. Cinnamon-Clove Tea 1 cinnamon stick 3-4 whole
cloves 2 cups water Honey or milk (optional) Instructions: Boil cinnamon and
cloves in water for 5-10 minutes. Strain and sweeten to taste.
